LEIU Member Agencies Continue Service on Influential Criminal Intelligence Coordinating Council (CICC)

Consistent with LEIU’s mission, LEIU leaders and agency executives continue to provide leadership and promote professionalism in criminal intelligence through participation in the Criminal Intelligence Coordinating Council (CICC). The CICC, formally established in May 2004, provides advice to the U.S. Attorney General on the best use of criminal intelligence to keep our country safe. The advice of members of the CICC has also been sought by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Director of National Intelligence, members of Congress, and other representatives of local, tribal, state, and federal government agencies. The CICC is currently chaired by LEIU General Chairman Russell M. Porter, Intelligence Director, Iowa Department of Public Safety. Other CICC members who are from LEIU member agencies include:
